This year’s Xbox Games Showcase is scheduled for Sunday, June 11, kicking off at 10 am PT. For those in different time zones, here’s a helpful breakdown to ensure you don’t miss out on the action.
The showcase will be streamed on both YouTube and Twitch, immediately followed by the Starfield Direct on the same channels.
As for what to expect from the Starfield Direct, details have been relatively scarce, but there’s plenty of anticipation building around it.
While Microsoft hasn’t provided many teasers for the general Xbox showcase, Xbox games marketing VP Aaron Greenberg has hinted on Twitter that viewers can anticipate a showcase filled with “in-game footage, in-engine footage, or in-game footage with some cinematics” from the first-party Microsoft games. No purely pre-rendered trailers are expected, which is exciting news for fans. Additionally, the focus is expected to be primarily on games rather than hardware, promising roughly two hours packed with gaming content.
Fans have their wish lists ready, with titles like Avowed, the first-person RPG from Obsidian, at the top. Other anticipated first-party Microsoft games include Everwild from Rare, the Perfect Dark reboot, the new Fable, Forza Motorsport, and Hellblade 2.
However, one announcement seems to have slipped out early, thanks to Atlus: Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica.
Following the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct, the PC Gaming Show will kick off at 1 pm PDT on their respective YouTube and Twitch channels, promising even more exciting gaming content to look forward to.
